Review: First exercise has a typo in a command that's easy enough to work around. Starting with Chapter 2, you need to download sample code from a Github repo but they give the wrong URL for the repo. There's no errata page for this book so you can't request the correct repo. The downloads at the Sybex site give you sample code for Chapter 12 only. Where in the world are you supposed to get the sample code?

Review: Like the other reviewers said, there are errors here. It's not too big of a deal if you know what you're doing. The git folder can be found in the course questions on testbanks.wiley.com under RESOURCES. It wasn't easy to find, but it does exist.I passed the Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, and SysOps Associate tests with ease, but didn't pass the Developer test (not required with SysOps passed, but I'm taking all of the tests.For my Developer Associate studies, I started out with A Cloud Guru, Cloud Academy, and Linux Academy resources, watched the videos, and took every practice test I can find.This book covers the material that was on the exam - that's all I'll say. I have yet to take it again, but everything that was covered in detail in the questions I missed is here. The third-party training is not sufficient without a lot of supplemental study in anything you don't use religiously on your own.Finally, the test questions here are decent because they mirror the Amazon certification goals nicely. Taking exam sims you find on the web will just give you false confidence, although I hear that the Stephane Maarek ones on Udemy are good. I *highly recommend* highlighting anything you don't know, and making your own questions using test software. This is the best strategy, because you need to retain knowledge, not just memorize poorly-written questions that will ruin you for the exam.=== This advice is current as of October 2019 - the longer this book is out, the less relevant it will be ===AWS changes the exams so much, I don't know how long this will be true. I recommend digesting this book and taking the exam as soon as possible. The Advanced Networking book is several years old, and while it helps, it seems like the best way to handle AWS content is to use the newest study materials, and stay ahead of the changes.

Review: I will update my review if I find an errata page, but so far the URL for the git repo for code downloads is invalid and there are many typos and I'm only in Chapter 3. I'm able to work around some things, but without the code, I can't do many of the exercises, which I was excited about. It is a very large book and I'm looking forward to using it as a tool to help me pass the exam.**EDIT** the publisher emailed me the code right away, and now they've included it online (although the link is hard to find once logged in). As I'm going through it, I'm finding that the questions are very good. I'm finding more and more errors in the text; but when I combine this with acloud.guru and AWS docs online, I'm able to realize the mistakes and move on. If something doesn't make sense, or contradicts itself when reading, check another source to verify. But I like this book still.** ANOTHER EDIT **There are just too many typos. I haven't been able to do virtually any of the exercises. For example, in exercise 6.1, Deploy Your Application (the topic is Elastic Beanstalk), it states "In this exercise you will sign up for an AWS account"? Huh? That's not what we're doing here. Step one says "Verify that your source code is packaged as a .zip and is ready to be retrieved.." What? I don't have any source code, this is step 1...and I thought were were creating an AWS account? What a mess.**FINAL EDIT**I passed the test today. I did not use this book exclusively but it does cover the content on the exam. I just wasn't able to do any of the exercises.

Review: Although there were some broken links, and typos. It is a huge amount of knowledge packed in a book with online practice questions (answered with explains)IMO for self learners this is the best resource for preparing this test!

Review: This book contains many redundant words and entire sections are repeated. I’ve had to cross out sentences or words to make sense of the content.Example: Page 361 contains an entire section that was repeated and initially appears on page 360. Page 360 contains a repeated section that is displayed earlier on that same page.This book could have benefited from another review by an editor prior to publication.I dislike how there are only 10 review questions for a few chapters.

Review: This book is now rather old: dated 2019. so you want to think twice, thrice, before buying. Even It is big and hefty, it is not very concise on many topics. There are zero coordinations between the many authors: you get multiple huge discussion of DynamoDB on different parts of the book. Sample questions are helpful but definitely not as hard as the exam. You are not likely to pass with this book alone.

Review: This is the 2nd book I've read by these authors. The other one for Practitioner Certification was much better than this one. When you read the chapters, the language is clear, if not concise. But when you go to answer the review questions, they may as well be written in a totally different language. They are so terribly worded in many cases, I had to read them 3 or 4 times to understand what was being asked. Often times the questions don't provide the little [SELECT TWO] or [SELECT THREE] clues that the Practitioner book always had. Now get this!!! Sometimes when they DO provide those clues, the answer key has only 1 answer. Sometimes when those clues aren't there and you assume only 1 answer, the answer key contains multiple! And I found at least one answer that was blatantly wrong. They are very bad about reversing a NOT type question, i.e. which of these is NOT such-and-such.I passed my practitioner exam and the other book was at least some help in that (though I did watch a lot of training videos as well). This book has filled me with self-doubt. I don't know if I will even try this exam until I've tried at least 1 or 2 more resources.
